Representative Douglas House, normally an ally to the industry, promised a fellow lawmaker yesterday that he’d sponsor a bill to eliminate advertising for the medical marijuana industry.
This is not good for Arkansas medical marijuana patients, the MMJ industry, or free speech. No other legal medicine manufacturers or pharmacies are banned from advertising their product. Advertising creates competition, and would benefit MMJ patients in the form of lower prices, more strain and product selection, and also more information about available products and forms of ingestion.
