Cultivation Associate

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cultivation Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the legal cannabis cultivation industry, coupled with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. This role involves hands-on participation in the entire cultivation process, from planting to sales and packaging. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with the Cultivation Director and Company President in managing, planning, and executing garden work.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of flowering greenhouses and the nursery. ● Contribute to production planning, scheduling, and organization, managing a small crew of 2 or 3 individuals.
• Perform tasks such as trimming flowers, pruning and defoliating plants, watering, feeding, IPM spraying, and assisting with making ferments.
• Participate in planting, transplanting, harvesting, and other production-related tasks.

Qualifications: 

Able to acquire a medical marijuana worker's permit. 

Two years of growing experience in a production-scale environment, preferably with cannabis or other plants. 

Appreciation for low-impact farming, organics, permaculture, biodynamics, and regenerative farming. 

Ability to work in small family farm situations, demonstrating adaptability, a strong work ethic, and an appreciation for the value of hard work. 

Physical fitness, including the ability to lift 20 lbs regularly, work in tight spaces, crouch, bend, and twist.

Attention to detail and good eyesight. 

Strong teamwork and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn new techniques and share experiences. 

Additional Requirements: 

• Weekend availability is required.
• Familiarity with the BIOTrack system (state-mandated tracking software) is a plus, and training can be provided.

Compensation: 

• Hourly rate: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour.
• Flexible schedule, with options for 3x12, 4x10, and 8-hour shifts. ● Bonus pay and benefits, including a flexible schedule and paid time off.

Job Type: Full-time 

Salary: From $16.00 per hour 

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
